There are also further specifications confirmed for other markets which suggest what we can expect from the model when it arrives.
2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan N Performance and Style
Under the bonnet, the i30 Sedan N packs the same brilliant punch from the renowned 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo GDi engine, capable of delivering an impressive 206kW of power and a maximum torque of 392Nm when the explosive ‘N Grin Shift’ mode is engaged. The car boasts a top speed of 280km/h, more than enough for track days.
Added to this is that the software has been reprogrammed to optimise the use of high-octane petrol (currently 98 RON in Australia), further enhancing the car’s performance on the road.
The i30 Sedan N continues to sport a dynamic and aggressive design, featuring N-specific elements such as contrasting red strips, sleek black trim, and a distinctive N-specific steering wheel. More than decorations, these design touches match the car’s performance-oriented nature.
The i30 Sedan N has been developed with a focus on the N vehicle development pillars, which include “Corner Rascal,” “Racetrack Capability,” and “Everyday Sportscar.” Motorsport-derived enhancements include engine mount reinforcement, G-bushing reinforcement, an improved steering system, and enhancements to the Electronic Controlled Suspension. These modifications enhance the car’s handling, responsiveness, and overall driving experience.
To ensure that the car performs optimally even in demanding conditions such as a track day, Hyundai has incorporated features to optimise cooling efficiency. These include duct-style air guards, a wing-type spoiler, and a front bumper air guide, all contributing to improved aerodynamics and engine cooling.
Safety and availability!
Hyundai has also stepped up the safety game for the 2024 model by introducing several new features. Adaptive cruise control is available for the first time, offering added convenience and safety during long journeys. A 360-degree camera system provides enhanced visibility, making parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces a breeze. Additionally, Blind-Spot View Monitor side cameras enhance safety by reducing blind spots.
The 2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan N promises to be another exhilarating chapter in Hyundai’s booming N performance arm. If you’re interested in learning more or want to see what other N models are already available, the team at Frankston Hyundai is here to help!
