Is a Hyundai Ute on the Horizon?

The exciting prospect of Hyundai making a ute for Australia has been bolstered by recent trademark filings.

Does Hyundai have a ute in its future plans? Recent revelations from trademark filings have sparked speculation about Hyundai’s potential entry into the electric ute market, with the name ‘Hyundai Ioniq T10’ a likely candidate.

The discovery of this name being trademarked in Australia suggests that the model will be electric (Ioniq) and potentially styled as a large pickup (with the ‘T’ perhaps denoting its truck-like proportions).

What we do know is that the greater Hyundai group has been developing a ute for use within its arm of brands, and this means it is indeed possible that a variant will be produced wearing the Hyundai badge.
